Chocolate-dipped strawberries


24 ripped strawberries
8oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1oz white chocolate, chopped
2 teaspoon Crisco shortening

1. Rinse strawberries and gently pat dry. Set on a rack to dry completely.

2. Put the bittersweet chocolate and 1 1/2 teaspoon Crisco shortening in a deep bowl. Melt in a double boiler (or put in the microwave for 1 minute).

3. Do the same thing to the white chocolate in a separate bowl

4. Dip strawberries in chocolate (either dark or white) and shake the excess.

5. Set to dry on the rack or on parchment.

When the chocolate has dried, decorate the strawberries with the other chocolate by dipping or drizzling the chocolate over the strawberries. Make sure you have fun with it.

7. Refrigerate the strawberries until serve.
