Tropical Watermelon Smoothie

1watermelon wedge, about 1lb 5oz
2 small bananas, preferably lady finger
1 cup coconut cream

Remove and discard the seeds from the watermelon, then cut the flesh off the rind, and chop coarsely. Peel and slice the bananas.

Put the watermelon, bananas, and coconut cream in a food processor or blender and process until combined.

Pour into chilled glasses and serve.

Smooth Nectarine Shake

1 cup milk
12oz/350g lemon sorbet
1 riped mango, pitted and diced
2 peaches, pitted and diced

Pour the milk into a food processor or blender, then add half of the lemon sherbet and process gently until combined. Add the remaining sherbet and process until smooth.

When the mixture is thoroughly blended, gradually add the mango and nectarines and process until smooth.

Pour the mixture into glasses, decorate with thin wedges of nectarine, and serve.

Banana & Strawberry Smoothie

My hubby and I are both lazy at chewing (who's not?). We just cannot sit down and eat a whole pound of strawberries one by one. Then I found this book, The Perfect Blend, by Love Fruit. There are so many cool recipes with colorful pictures (by the way, if you need me to read anything, please add pictures, I can't stand a lengthy boring text writing).

Thus, starting from now, I will try to post those recipes that we are addicted to. Hopefully you could make some at home as well and please don't forget to invite us (we are friends, right?)

1 frozen banana (so you don't need to add more ice cubes)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
Generous 2/3 cup plain yogurt

Put the banana, strawberries, and yogurt into a food processor or blender and process for a few seconds until smooth.

Pour into glasses and serve at once.

Use a thin slide of strawberry to decorate.
